We advised the National Bank of Greece in connection with their proposed sale of a controlling stake in its subsidiary, Ethniki Hellenic General Insurance SA to EXIN Financial Services Holding BV, pursuant to an international private competitive process.
The National Bank of Greece is one of Greece’s four systemic banks, listed on the Athens Exchange and active in Greece and in Cyprus, the Balkans, Malta, Australia, Egypt, the United Kingdom and South Africa through branches and subsidiaries.
Ethniki Hellenic General Insurance is one of Greece’s largest insurance providers. The EXIN Group is a full-service financial services business, with insurer, in-house asset management, reinsurance capabilities and managing general agency.
