Bernitsas Law acted as Greek law counsel to Hoist Finance AB (publ) as purchaser in connection with the sale and purchase agreement entered into with Alpha Bank acting as seller of Project Cell, a portfolio of non-performing retail loans with a total outstanding balance of approximately €1.5bn.
Project Cell represents the latest collaboration between Hoist Finance AB (publ) and Alpha Bank, following previous successful transactions including Project Mercury, Project Orbit and Project Light.
Hoist Finance is a leading Swedish financial institution with strong presence in Europe and listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
Alpha Bank is one of Greece’s largest systemic banks, listed on the Athens Exchange.
