Bernitsas Law advised the majority shareholders of Ydrogios Insurance on the successful completion of the sale of a majority stake to Reale Group, following regulatory approval by the Bank of Greece. The agreement was signed on 5 July 2023 and the first stage of the transaction was completed on 19 February 2024. This deal marks an important milestone for the strategic growth and expansion of the company.

This transaction follows landmark deals which our M&A and Insurance team have successfully handled, including the merger of subsidiaries for Assicurazioni Generali and acquisition of Ethniki Insurance by CVC.
